Cos\u00ec Bartolomeo Gherardini Auditore Generale in Siena descrivendo lo stato della Comunit\u00e0 di Chiusi nel 1676 e in particolare delle tre fonti della Citt\u00e0. La fonte dava il nome alla localit\u00e0 che troviamo citata pi\u00f9 volte nei documenti del XVII secolo. Il toponimo Fonte Durella \u00e8 conservato anche in tre distinte particelle del catasto chiusino della fine del Settecento, che qui si riproduce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La fonte, con parapetto e condotto per le acque, doveva sorgere a monte dell\u2019incrocio fra la nostra strada di Pian dei Ponti e quella che scendeva in linea retta dalla Pietriccia permettendo di accedervi anche da quel lato.
